Using XML files from Primavera P6

Post by Josh »

I tried to export schedule from P6.18 to RiskyProject using Microsoft Project MSP XML files, but they wouldn’t work, presumably because I’d have needed MSP installed as well. Did I do something wrong?

You do not require to have MSP installed to import the xml file. Moreover, you don't need to use XML file to export data from P6 to RiskyProject. You can do it using P6's XER file. RiskyProject is fully integrated with P6: it reads data from P6 very fast and ensure full compatibility between P6 project schedule and RiskyProject project schedule. To import data from XER to RiskyProject select File -> Open -> Select XER file.
