Can you set a default constraint type?

In RiskyProject you cannot set a default setting for the constraint typ. In RiskyProject, when you add a new task the constraint type will always default to As Soon as Possible. The reason for this is that in schedule risk analysis hard constraints of any kind should be used as this will prevent the scheduling from updating properly and can invalidate the results. Once a task has been added, it is possible to modify the constraint in the Task Information. If you import the schedule from a 3rd party tool RiskyProject will read in the constraints as set in the original file.
