Re: MSP Addin support for project consolidation
The RiskyProject MSP Addin does not include the schedule consolidation feature. You must import the schedule into the RiskyProject Professional desktop either using the Addin or as an xml file to run the consolidation.

Re: Applying Risks to Consolidated Schedules
Risks should be applied after consolidation has been performed. If a risk is applied to a single activity prior to consolidation, it will be assigned with the same probability and impacts to a consolidated task and which may not be optimal.

Re: Risk Outcomes vs Moment of Risk
You are looking at the "Moment of Risk", not risk outcomes. The confusion arises because “Statistical Distribution for Risk Outcomes” has not been enable and so you only see a single outcome field rather than Low, First thing you need to do is ensure that the "Enable Statistical Distribution for ris...

Re: Importing Risks from Excel
Here is another important note. Some our clients ask us if Excel spreadsheet needs to be formatted any specific way to be imported to RiskyProject. The only requirement is Risk Register spreadsheet will need to have each risk as a row and risk properties, including risk names, probability and impact...

Re: Compatibility and sharing files between versions causing issues
RiskyProject versions are always backwards compatible, but they are not forwards compatible. In practical terms what does this mean. You can open files from older versions, in newer versions (backwards compatibility); however, because the new versions are not just an update, but are new software wit...

Re: actual costs
If you are not using resources as part of your cost calculations then it is straight forward. As activities are completed, you can update cost either in your management schedule or in RiskyProject in the Income and Cost view. On the other hand, if you are using a resource loaded schedule to calculat...

Re: Weekly Exception Calendars
We don't have working weeks exceptions in our calendars in RiskyProject. This would significantly slow Monte Carlo simulations. So all working weeks are the same. We can do exceptions based on individual days and day of week. It is probably possible to use individual day exception and replicate it f...

Re: Percent % Complete vs % Work Complete
While % Work Complete is useful for managing project progress, it is not recommended for schedule risk analysis as this setting will add additional complications to the creation of a valid risk model. The main objective of schedule risk analysis is to forecast probabilities for finish times and dura...

Re: Recommended Practices for integrating resources and schedule risk analysis
While resource loaded schedules and schedule risk analysis are not incompatible, how you approach a risk analysis depends upon your objectives as resource loading can introduce additional complications. Depending upon your objectives this could mean creating a specific schedule for your risk analysi...
