Importing an RiskyProject (*.alm) file to the database
Importing projects allows you to import RiskyProject project files into your database and portfolio. These files are created by
RiskyProject when using the standalone desktop mode.
To import an RiskyProject file:
- Click the Projects tab. In the Project Views
group, click any Project view.
- Select the row in which you would like to place the project.
- In the Export/Import group, click the Import from file
button. The Open dialog box opens.
- Navigate to the file (*.alm) and click Open.
- RiskyProject will check if the project file has any risks or mitigation plans. If it does the Insert
risks and mitigation plans from file to Risk Register dialog box opens. This dialog box allows you to add, ignore, or match the risks
or plans to existing ones (rename). If you do not want to use this process click Skip. If the project has a schedule you will also be prompted if you would like to run a simulation.
- Select the hierarchy location where you want to place the project. You can
rename the project in the Project Name box.
