Task Sheet View

The Task Sheet view provides a table view of all the Current Schedule's deterministic values for each task without a Gantt chart. While you can use this view to enter or edit task data, its primary use is for providing a table report view of task information.

Default fields

  • Task Name: Name of the task.
  • Base Duration: Enter in the base estimate for the task duration
  • Low Duration: Enter in the low estimate for the task duration
  • High Duration: Enter in the high estimate for the task duration
  • Low Start Time:Low Start Time is used for probabilistic calculations and does not affect the current project schedule. If you modify the Low Start Time, the Constraint is set to Must Start On". See "Start, Finish Times, and Constraints" for more details. Particular meaning of low start time depends on the statistical distribution for start time.
  • Base Start Time: is used to calculate current project schedule. It also used to calculate start time of each iteration of the probabilistic calculation. Note that in most cases, the Start Time is calculated automatically based on predecessor's finish time and lag. If a task does not have predecessors, the default start time is the current time or default start time from options (see "RiskyProject calculation and display options"). If you update the Start Time, the Constraint is set to "Must Start On". See "Start, Finish Times, and Constraints" for more details.
  • High Start Time: is used for probabilistic calculations and does not affect the current project schedule. If you update High Start Time, the Constraint is set to "Must Start On". See "Start, Finish Times, and Constraints" for more details. Particular meaning of high start time depends on the statistical distribution for start time.
  • Low Finish Time: The Finish Time of a task (Low) plus Duration Low that it is not result of a probabilistic or current schedule calculation.
  • Finish Time: Base Finish Time is used to calculate current project schedule. Note that in most cases, Finish Time is calculated automatically based on a task's Start Time and duration. If you update the Finish Time, the Constraint is set to "Must Finish On". See "Start, Finish Times, and Constraints" for more details.).
  • High Finish Time: Enter in your finish time for your task. If you enter a finish time the cell will be highlighted to indicate a constraint.
  • Resource: Enter or select a resource to assign it to the task.
  • Predecessors: A list of predecessors for the current task. Example: 1+3day, 1SF+4day. It means: that predecessors are task 1 Finish-Start relationship with lag 3days and task 2 (Start-Finish relationship) with lag 4 days. Start-Finish is displayed as SF, Start-Start is SS, Finish-Finish is FF. Finish-Start does
