Setting up the Risk Matrix
Question for the community: In RiskyProject Professional, how do I configure the risk matrix for qualitative analysis? I want to customize the probability and impact ranges, colors, and make it nonlinear for better risk tolerance visualization. Tips appreciated!

Re: Setting up the Risk Matrix
Hi, the risk matrix is a key tool for visualizing threats and opportunities in RiskyProject's risk management system. Customizing it ensures it aligns with your organization's risk appetite. Follow these steps:
1. Go to the Risks tab > Risk Views group and select Risk Matrix.
2 To customize, click Format Risk Matrixin the ribbon (or right-click the matrix and choose Format.
3. In the dialog, select the category (e.g., Duration, Cost) and whether it's for Threats or Opportunities.
4. Define probability and impact labels and ranges—e.g., Very Low: 0–10%, Low: 10–30%, etc. Ensure ranges sum to 100%; the background will turn green if valid, pink if not.
5. Alternatively,, you can setrisk tolerance with the slider: adjust color zones (Green for Low, Yellow for Medium, Red for Critical).
6. For nonlinear scoring, enable custom scores where Score ≠ Probability Index × Impact Index (e.g., define a table for unique values).
7. Customize display: Add symbols/numbers to labels (e.g., "A: Very Low"), choose outcome formats (label only, percent with label), and set combined impact formulas (max or normalized sum).
8. Toggle between threats (positive impacts) and opportunities (negative impacts) to configure separately.
After setup, risks from your register will plot on the matrix based on their assigned probabilities and impacts. You can also link this to the Risk Trend Chart for monitoring changes over time. If you're using baselines for pre/post-mitigation comparison, the matrix will reflect those too
