E.C.M. for Construction Projects

Post by Fred45 » Sat Aug 19, 2006 10:18 pm

We found information about E.C.M. and we are thinking to use it for large-scale construction project. Is anybody else using Event Chain Methodology for construction project (>50M)?

We are using RiskyProject for the large chemical plan retrofitting. We always used RBS (Risk Breakdown Structure). Now we can enter both WBS and RBS in RP and see what happens.

We have around 1000 tasks in the schedule and around 200 risks. Calculation takes around 1 minute. So far we like RiskyProject: it is simple a very logical. We are planning to use it for larger project very soon.

We have very many clients who use RiskyProject for large construction projects. There project include residential and industries building construction, retrofitting of refineries, construction of large mines, etc. Because these projects are large and complex, proper risk management is required. Event Chain Methodology allows our clients to combine risk breakdown structure with project schedule and perform quantitative risk analysis.
