In order to use RiskyProject with Primavera to need to export Primavera data to MPX or Microsoft Project XML formats. Please note, that in order to export data to Microsoft Project XML you must have MS Project installed on the same computer as Primavera. Then you can import MPX or XML file to RiskyProject. Many our clients are successfully using RiskyProject with Primavera P3, P5, and Suretrac.

I tried reading data from Primavera P5. Everything was OK. The process was very easy. I click on Export in Primavera and selected MPX. Then I opened MPX in RiskyProject. My question is what should I use XML or MPX. Any preferences?

You may use either MPX or XML. XML is better. It is newer format for MS Project. It contains some important information which MPX does have.

We have tried using mpx and xml, but have had some changes occur with activity dates etc. Is there anyway we can resolve this?
