Re: Saving Results to Baselines

With all previous versions prior to the release of version 7.1, probabilistic results were not saved with baselines. All risk and uncertainties could be saved, but you can only view the deterministic results in the Manage Baseline views. Previous version is shown below. http://www.intaver.com/images...

Re: Export Results of Analysis

With RiskyProject version 7, we recommend using the Export to Excel feature. 1. In Reports tab, set up the Simulation Results report to include the results you want to export to Excel. http://www.intaver.com/images/RP_Forum_ExcelExport1.png 2. From the File menu, click Export > Microsoft Excel http:...

if you are switching back and forth from MSP to RiskyProject you should use the button that appears in RiskyProject when you use the Addin.

Re: Conditional Branching not working?

There is known issue with the Finish Time conditions in version 7. This issue has been fixed in our latest update 7.1.
Below is a screenshot showing how conditional branching using finish times is currently implemented.

Re: Creating post mitigated schedules

Mitigation plan are part of the qualitative risk management, but they do not impact the current schedule when you run a Monte Carlo simulation because the plan is not associated with any specific activities or costs in the schedule. To create a post mitigated schedule based upon the results of a sim...

Re: Scenario Analysis

To analyze multiple scenarios, you must create multiple baselines (scenarios) and save them with their results. Cumulative probability for multiple baselines can be plotted on the same chart. First you need to create at least 2 baselines and save the results with the baseline: for example, pre and p...

Re: License already activated message

Under the End User License Agreement (EULA), you are allowed to transfer your license from one computer to another as long as the software and license have been deleted from the current computer. However, licenses by default have a limited number of activations. If you receive this message, it indic...

Re: Font Size and Display Settings not supported

The issue is due to non-standard combination of Font and App sized set in the “Ease of Access Display Settings” in Windows.. A combination of the Font size and App sizes are most likely the issue. You may have to modify these settings in order for the dialog box to fit onto your screen as this parti...

Re: Importing Risks from Excel

Yes. Importing risks from Excel work the same way in RiskyProject Enterprise and RiskyProject not connected to the database. The only difference the imported risks will be saved in ALM file, not in database.

Re: Managing LOE Tasks

For LOE activities, it only matters if you are running resource loaded to calculate costs. If this is the case, you need to run two simulations: the first to assess the overall duration uncertainty covered by the LOE activity, the second to apply this uncertainty to the LOE task. For example, to cal...

Re: Spikes appearing in histograms

In the example you are talking about, you will see spikes in the results. It is a common and expected results when analyzing using risk events. Let’s take a look at a very simple example of a 5 day activity. Now, we add 1 risk assignment: 50% chance, 50% relative delay. http://www.intaver.com/images...

Re: Split Tasks

In general we don't recommend to use split task for probabilistic calculation, because uncertainties can be related to shifts and non-working time. It is hard to model and can cause confusions. Instead we recommend to use multiple tasks.

Analyzing mega schedules

What are the options for running extremely large program schedules? Our first recommendation would be to question if this is both desirable and feasible. Running simulations of extremely large schedules often generates a lot of “noise”. For example, it is almost impossible to run reliable sensitivit...
