Results Gantt Chart View
RiskyProject displays the start and finish ranges of each task in
the Result Gantt view. The calculated project and baseline schedules
are shown in the same Gantt chart. You can use the task bar for
deterministic current schedule to compare deterministic and
probabilistic schedules.
- Task Name: Name of the task.
- Success: The chance that a task will be completed. A task can be canceled in one
of 3 cases:
- if the risk cancels task or cancel tasks + all successor has
occurred • if task has reached a deadline
- if project has reached a deadline
and task finish time is beyond such deadlines.
- success rate can be calculated in
of probabilistic calculation. It equals number of iterations in which the task has been
completed divided by the total number of iterations.
- Base Duration: Enter in the base estimate for the task duration
- Low Duration: Enter in the low estimate for the task duration
- High Duration: Enter in the high estimate for the task duration
- Low Duration (Mean): Low duration as a result of probabilistic calculations. It
is blank for current schedule calculations. Can be minimum, P1, P5, P10. It is
defined in Options (Calculation tab).
- Mean Duration: Duration as a result of probabilistic calculations: difference
between task’s mean finish time and mean start time. It is blank for current
schedule calculation. Please note, that “Duration Mean – result” and “Duration
Mean – statistical result” can be different
- High Duration(Mean): High duration as a result of probabilistic calculations. It
is blank for current schedule calculation. Can be maximum, P90, P95, P99. It is
defined in Options (Calculation tab).
- Start Mean: Mean start time as a result of probabilistic calculations. Will
haven o value in the current schedule calculation.
- Finish Mean: Low finish time as a result of probabilistic calculations.
Will have no value in the current schedule calculation. Can be minimum, P1, P5,
P10. It is defined in Options (Calculation tab).
- Distrib, Dur: You can select the statistical distribution for the duration to be
used in the probabilistic calculations. Distribution can be Undefined, Normal,
Lognormal, Uniform, and Triangular. Undefined distribution means that Low
Duration and High Duration is ignored, and duration is Base in all iterations.
If low, base, and high default durations are the same, distribution is set to
Undefined. In other cases, default distribution is Triangular. For more
information, see “How to define distribution for Start Time, Cost, Income, and
Duration”.
- Seed, Dur. Seed is a starting parameter for random number generation and is used
to calculate duration. If you have two tasks, and they have strong positive
correlations between their durations, you can make their seeds the same. For
example: low duration of one task will coincide with low duration of another
task. Seeds do not affect deterministic (current schedule) calculation.
You can display Result Gantt associated only with low (optimistic)
and high (pessimistic) results.
Showing or Hiding Low/High Results
- Right-click on the chart and a shortcut menu opens.
- From the shortcut menu, choose one of the following viewing
options:
- Show Low/High Results
Show Low Results- Show High Results
- Show Current Schedule.
